Board of Directors

Bay City Academy and North Central Academy are currently seeking applicants to serve on the Board of Directors. School board members are selected by Lake Superior State University and serve on a volunteer basis.  The school Board of Directors is extremely important as it sets policy and charts the direction for the school. It is our belief that the board should consist of those with a vested interest in the ongoing well-being of the students and their families, and for that reason we hope to have a board representative of our enrollment. We invite you to participate as there is no better way to affect the overall well-being of your child’s educational experience.  Individuals are asked to contact Superintendent Brian Lynch at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. , who will then forward your information to the directors of Lake Superior State University.

In an effort to improve system practices, Bay City Academy - Madison Arts Campus is conducting a Community and Parent Survey. We value your opinion and ask that you take the time to complete this survey.

BWW Music Program Fundraiser

It's the season for giving! This year BCA is proud to host a Student to Student Thanksgiving Food Drive. Starting Monday, October 20th through Thursday, November 20th students will be collecting non-parishable food items to donate to Delta College's Student Food Pantry. The purpose of this fundraiser is to teach BCA students the importance of giving back to their community. This year our goal is to collect and donate over 2,000 items.

We cannot do this without your help. Please bring donated food items to your child's homeroom teacher. Students will collect and record the amount of food brought in daily for each class room. Students will also announce progress during the morning announcements as we race toward our goal. We are also accepting non-parishable food items as admission into the Fall Harvest Festival on October 30th.

Here is a list of the most needed items:

  • Pasta, any variety
  • Pasta sauce
  • Canned tuna, chicken, or fruit
  • Protein bars
  • Rice or flavored rice
  • Flavored noodles
  • Beans
  • Ramen noodles
  • Pudding cups
  • Fruit cups
  • Applesauce
  • Microwave popcorn
  • Beef jerky

Any non-parishable food item will be greatly appreciated. We thank you in advance for your help. Thanksgiving Food Drive

On Monday, September 22, 2014 Bay City Academy's Old Y campus staff and students
welcomed the Bay City Fire Rescue, Engine 1 to aide in placing the American Flag in
front of the school. In the previous week, students were engaged in learning activities to
honor Constitution Day and why it is important. The Old Y is the home school for
Kindergarten students and our newly opened, preschool where we focus on early
childhood and ensuring a safe, loved, and learning environment.
