Elementary Masks

Dear Bay City Academy Families,

A new executive order directly impacts our kids at Bay City Academy. Governor Whitmer’s Executive Order #2020-185 states that starting October 5, 2020, all students in grades K-12 will be required to wear masks in their classrooms. Previously, Governor Whitmer had only required that our 7-12 students wear masks.

While we understand this is not optimal for everyone, our collective responsibility is to comply with all mandates carefully. Each classroom teacher will be working with the students this week to help make the mask transition smooth for our kids. We will make sure that we provide frequent mask breaks for our students throughout the day. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Long at 989-293-6091, or We appreciate your patience, understanding, and flexibility as we continue to adapt during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Thank You,

Mrs. Long
