BCA Families - We are very excited to share our sports program with you for the 2020-2021 school year! Thanks to our co-op with Bay City All-Saints, we are able to provide more athletic choices for our students. Please share this exciting line-up with your children!
We believe that athletics play a significant part in the total educational process. Athletics provide many learning, growing and enjoyable opportunities. We are committed to providing a quality athletic program for our students in grades 1st-12th. The program allows for student participation in team activities at various levels. Our athletic program maintains focus on fair play, participation, sportsmanship, skill-development, academic achievement and fun ensuring the well-being of the student athlete. We believe sports promote many positive qualities such as humility, passion, unity, servanthood, accountability and thankfulness always striving to keep those qualities as a focus for our athletic program.
A payment of $30 is due upon enrollment in the sport that your child chooses. If payment is not received at the time of enrollment, your child will not be eligible to participate until payment is received. If a payment schedule is needed, please contact Jenny Hugo at 989-284-3988 to set a schedule up.
All parents/guardians and students must be aware of the following PRIOR to participation in any athletic program:
- Participation in extracurricular activities is voluntary. It is a privilege not a right. Our student athletes are held to a high standard accepting the obligations to the athletic program, including compliance with all rules and policies of the program. Students who do not adhere to the rules and policies may be removed from the program.
- Players are expected to attend all practices and games. Missing practice (or games) will result in the loss of potential playing time and may result in the removal of the student from the team.
For the 2020-21 school year the MHSAA pre-participation sports physical requirement will be waived for students in any grade who received a valid physical for sports during the 2019-20 school year (one completed on or after April 15, 2019). These students or their parents/guardians will be required to complete the two-page MHSAA Sports Health Questionnaire. These must be signed by the student and parent/guardian and kept on file in the school. Students who did not receive a sports physical in the 2019-20 school year or later must have a valid physical examination form on file. If a student is discovered to have participated without a valid physical or Health Questionnaire on file, the student shall not be eligible to participate until a valid physical or Health Questionnaire is on file.
